Kate Middleton’s Photo of Queen Elizabeth Surrounded by Royal Children Was Manipulated, Photo Agency Says
Kate Middleton has come under scrutiny once again for allegedly altering a family photo that was released by the people
The image in question is a portrait of the late Queen Elizabeth and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that was taken by Kate and released by Buckingham Palace on what would have been the monarch’s 97th birthday in April 2023.
Although the photo has been public for nearly a year, on Monday, Getty Images announced the picture had been manipulated.
“Getty Images has reviewed the image in question and placed an editor’s note on it, stating that the image has been digitally enhanced at source,” a Getty spokesperson told The Telegraph.
The Princess of Wales, 42, snapped the picture during a family trip to Balmoral the summer prior.
Seen seated with the Queen, who sat in the middle of a green sofa, are William and Kate’s kids — son Prince George, 10, daughter Princess Charlotte, 8, and son Prince Louis, 5 — with their royal cousins.
“Several inconsistencies” were highlighted by The Telegraph, including a vertical line where the tartan of the late Queen’s skirt does not match and a digital repetition of Mia Tindall’s hair.
The outlet pinpointed and zoomed in on six different discrepancies.
