Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has shared his experiences of attending the Coachella music festival with his girlfriend, pop sensation Taylor Swift.

Speaking on this week’s episode of the New Heights podcast, Kelce said: “The one thing that I really enjoy about Coachella is that it’s really not just one genre of music, it’s everything.”

He added: “It was fun getting out there and seeing a few new bands that I really wasn’t that familiar with, and just became an absolute lover of their music because of how they perform and how they captivated the crowd and got everybody into it.”

Fans spotted Kelce and Swift dancing and sharing a kiss backstage during the performance by the band Bleachers. The band’s lead singer, Jack Antonoff, is a close friend of Swift and has helped produce several of her biggest hits, including “Karma,” “Cruel Summer” and “Look What You Made Me Do.

Kelce praised Antonoff for an incredible performance, saying he and Bleachers “absolutely killed it.” He also gave shout-outs to Dom Dolla and Jungle for their performances.

Swift and Kelce were seen enjoying several concerts from within the crowd, a move that surprised Jason, Travis’ brother and podcast co-host. The former Philadelphia Eagles center questioned why they chose to not watch from “backstage with the musicians.”

“I like to see it from the fans’ perspective, ’cause I am [one],” Kelce shared. “I’m a fan of the music. I’m a fan of live shows. I want to see it from the front of the stage. We probably could have finessed it that way, but I think it’s that much more of an experience if you’re in the pit man, if you’re in the madness with all the fans.”
Swift was spotted by eagle-eyed fans at the California desert event, sporting a green baseball cap from the “New Heights” merchandise range.

Kelce and Jason were thrilled with the support, jokingly stating that the hat sold out swiftly after images from the night went viral. “Big New Heights supporter, sold out of the green hat real quick,” Jason quipped.

After their Coachella adventure, Kelce and Swift are set to enjoy some quality time together before Swift jets off to Europe for the next leg of her Eras Tour. “They are loving to just relax, spend time together, and stay at Taylor’s residencies to just enjoy being together and get a well-deserved rest,” a source close to the couple revealed to The U.S. Sun.

“It’s that time of year where both are off and they like not to attract any attention, to not be going to many public events, and just stay in their ‘bubble.'”.

Kelce, on the other hand, will probably be watching keenly to see who the Chiefs pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft on April 25. The Kansas City team holds the No. 32 overall pick after their victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII.
