While Taylor Swift and Jason Kelce have an obvious connection through Travis Kelce—Jason’s brother and Swift’s boyfriend—it turns out that there’s something else they have in common too: the number 13.
In the Dec. 20 episode of Travis and Jason’s podcast, New Heights, they shared how Swift’s lucky number 13 was also a special number for Jason, as it was the Philadelphia Eagles player’s jersey number as a kid.
The Kelce brothers started reminiscing about high school sports, including Jason’s time on the hockey team. They showed a picture of Jason in action on the ice, and as they tried to figure out what year it was, the two discussed jersey numbers.
“I was only number 27 my freshman year,” said Jason, before Travis added, “Then you went to 13, right?”
Jason confidently answered, “You know it. That was always my number.”
“Yeah I thought so. Friday the 13th, scariest dude on the field, on the court, on the ice, I mean,” Travis noted.
Anyone who knows Swift is likely aware of the singer-songwriter’s love of the number 13, with the 34-year-old often drawing the number on her hand as she performed in her early years as a singer.
Swift opened up about the meaning behind the number in a 2009 interview with MTV, saying, “The significance of the number 13 on my hand … I paint this on my hand before every show because 13 is my lucky number; for a lot of reasons. It’s really weird.”

Well, it appears that Swift found another great connection to the number 13 as she continues to be romantically involved with Travis and get to know his family, including big brother Jason.
