Since their Royal exit in 2020, Harry and Meghan have only returned to the UK for select events, bringing their kids over just once - for the Platinum Jubilee, according to the Express. Meghan hasn't set foot in Blighty since the Queen's state funeral in September 2022, making a conscious decision to skip the Coronation in May 2023. And since causing controversy by dramatically walking away from royal duties, Harry and Meghan have gone on to make a series of harsh, bombshell claims about royal life in high-profile interviews - including with megastar Oprah Winfrey - and in in their brutal Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan.

King Charles could extend an ‘olive branch’ to Harry and Meghan by inviting them to Balmoral in the summer – and is said to be ‘desperate’ to see his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet

King Charles is reportedly planning to extend an olive branch to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle by inviting them for a major Royal get-together at Balmoral. He is said to be aiming to mend fractured familial ties and build stronger relationships with his grandchildren.

King Charles, at 75, has barely seen the Sussexes’ children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, since they were born and is said to be eager to share more moments with them.

A royal insider, said to be well-placed in royal circles, told Page Six: “I can see Charles desperately wanting to see the children, and extending this olive branch to Meghan and Harry. He may decide that life is just too short. Balmoral is truly the perfect, restful place for a reunion. If he does issue an invite, then Harry and Meghan should surely agree to the visit.”
