Report: Travis Kelce Reacts to Typo on $40,000 Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl Ring
Earlier this month, the 34-year-old tight end and his Kansas City Chiefs teammates were presented their 2024 Super Bowl rings after defeating the Miami Dolphins back in February. The ring costs an estimated $40,000 apiece and contains more than 500 diamonds and rubies.
Despite all of the detailing that goes into the ring, there’s a big typo on the inside of the ring, which Travis addressed during the new episode of his New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with big brother Jason Kelce.
One major little goof on the ring, Miami is listed as the seventh seed because it has all of the games you guys had to win to get there,” Jason, 36, pointed out. “Miami was actually the sixth seed. I guess that’s just the way the ring is…are you gonna get it fixed?”
“I don’t give a s–t,” Travis responded, hilariously adding, “I like it that we didn’t give a f–k about what seed Miami is.”
He continued, “They were the seventh. Who cares? They could’ve done no seeds on the side of them. I would’ve been fine. I think it makes it more unique. Like, ‘Oh, yeah, we made it really detailed, and, oops, we screwed up.’”
This is now the third Super Bowl ring Travis has been presented with after also winning the Super Bowls in 2023 and 2020.
When Jason asked which of the three rings is his favorite, Travis noted that while the 2024 ring “pretty damn cool” and “feels and looks like a championship ring,” his favorite is the one from 2023 – from when Travis and the Chiefs won after defeating Jason and his then-team the Philadelphia Eagles.
