Many were shocked when the Duke of Sussex revealed in his memoir Spare that he found out about the Queen’s death via the BBC website rather than his own family. However, one royal author says this version of events may differ from reality
After rushing to be by the late Queen’s side following the news of her fast-declining health, Harry alleged in his book that when his chartered flight from Luton (which was reportedly delayed, circling due to bad weather over Aberdeen) landed, he was urged to check the BBC website by his wife Meghan Markle. When he did he discovered he was sadly too late.
