And memories of their swashbuckling SW19 set-to, which ended 1–6, 7–6, 6–1, 3–6, 6–4, have got some attendees concerned.

Their match is due to start at 2pm, while the Three Lions face the Spanish at 8pm in Berlin – live on talkSPORT.

Last year’s epic had a run-time of four hours and 42 minutes.

A similar match would therefore end at 6:42pm giving fans enough time to enjoy the Euro 2024 final – but a longer duel would have some supporters scrambling.

But Djokovic has attempted to ease any worries.

He said: “I think that the English crowd will have best of both worlds because I think the finals is at night, so we are starting I think at 2pm, so they’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the tennis and football as well.

“I think Wimbledon finals is probably the most watched tennis match in the entire year in the world. So not only England, but I’m sure that a lot of people around the world will follow it. It adds more, I guess, to the importance of the match.”

Djokovic has already had one of his matches interrupted by football fans at Wimbledon
