However, 2025 has gotten off to a rocky start.

The “Love Story” singer started off the year with six Grammy nominations, but not a single win.

Coupled with the Chiefs’ epic loss at the Super Bowl and that viral booing video, many are starting to wonder if their star power is starting to fade.

Taylor Swift has over a dozen Grammys at home, so it’s not like this loss will be seen as a career setback.

The “Anti-Hero” singer was nominated for six Grammys, including Album of the Year, but left empty-handed.

Although Taylor didn’t seem to mind cheering on her friends and dancing along to the live performances, some fans expressed concern that she might have lost that “magic touch.”

The Tortured Poets Department” is not regarded as some of her best work.

Although she put out 31 new songs with the full release, her latest album failed to have the same pop culture impact that many of her other records received.

Although it’s likely that she will win another Grammy at some point in the future, some fans can’t help but wonder if the exhaustion from her record-breaking Eras Tour might be taking a toll on her.

The Super Bowl Hit The Chiefs – and Travis Kelce – Hard

With Taylor Swift there for good luck, many felt that the Kansas City Chiefs would be able to pull off a three-peat, which has never been achieved in NFL history.

Unfortunately, the Philadelphia Eagles won 40-22 after a series of disappointing plays by the Chiefs.

Following the game, Patrick Mahomes told reporters that he was going to “let Travis make that decision on his own” when asked if he was ready to retire.

“He’s given so much to this team and to the NFL,” Mahomes said. “And he’s been such a joy, not only for me to work with, but for people to watch.”

Mahomes said that Travis “still has a lot of football left in him,” but admitted that his decision to retire will ultimately depend on “if he wants to put in that grind” again.

Travis has routinely been criticized for putting his relationship with Taylor above the game.

He was seen vacationing in Lake Como with her last year and even joined her on stage during The Eras Tour after visiting her in several different countries.

He also received criticism right before the big game when he and Taylor stepped out for a double date with Patrick and Brittany Mahomes.

They were seen dining out at the French restaurant Lilette on Friday night, and although they did spend Saturday night getting ready for the big day, many fans felt that a little more preparation would have gone a long way.

Other than the Chiefs’ epic loss, the other most talked about moment of the night came from the audience, who loudly booed Taylor Swift when she appeared on the Jumbotron.

It’s unclear if she was being booed due to Donald Trump’s attendance at the game, considering she threw her support behind Kamala Harris in the last U.S. election, or if football fans are getting tired of hearing about Travis’ relationship with the pop star.

A source later told the Daily Mail that Travis “was aware of Taylor getting booed” and “felt helpless.”

Although the game hadn’t been going well for the Chiefs before that point, the insider said “Seeing the look on her face got to him.”

“He always protects her, and it broke his heart.

He was already having a tough night, and the fact that the stadium was predominantly Eagles fans didn’t help,” they added, noting that some Eagles fans see her as a “traitor” because she is from Pennsylvania and had been seen sporting Eagles jerseys on multiple occasions. She even worked the lyric “With my Eagles t-shirt hanging from the door” into her 2020 song “Gold Rush.”

Just before his big Super Bowl loss, a source told Us Weekly that Travis and Taylor were looking into buying a home together in Kansas City.

“When they have time, they want to look at real estate.

[They’ve] talked about exploring buying a home together,” they claimed, going on to say that their relationship “just keeps getting better.”

Although their relationship may be improving, it looks like their respective careers are on the downswing.

Taylor wrapped up her highly successful Eras Tour, but walked away without a Grammy win this year.

Travis lost the Super Bowl and a chance to go down in the history books as the only team to pull off a three-peat.

At this point, it remains unknown if he will even return to the field.
