Prince Harry felt the King’s marriage to Camilla was “unnecessary” and “pleaded” with him not to go ahead with the wedding.

The Duke of Sussex said in his memoir Spare that he and William were firmly against Charles’ nuptials which went ahead at Windsor in 2005. And speaking to Anderson Cooper last year he said: “Why go that far when you don’t necessarily need to? We wanted him to be happy. And we saw how happy he was with her. So, at the time, it was, ‘OK’,” he candidly shared.

Camilla, who was famously referred to as the “third person in my marriage” by Diana in her 1995 Panorama interview, was dubbed a “villain” by Harry in the interview, as he claimed Camilla wanted to improve her image with the public by officially becoming Charles’ wife.

Harry is due back in the UK to attend the Invictus Games 10th Anniversary Service at St Paul’s Cathedral on May 8, and he is expected to visit Charles as he continues his convalescence from cancer. But it is unclear whether Meghan Markle will be making the trip.

Meghan is reportedly having second thoughts about coming due to concerns over her children’s safety following a leak of their plans, a source told OK!. And the insider said Harry is not happy with the change of heart as he wishes to be “supported by his wife” at an important time with both Charles and Kate facing cancer battles.
