Kris Jenner got emotional on Season 6, Episode 2, of “The Kardashians” when she learned that Khloé Kardashian had reunited with Lamar Odom after nearly a decade of not speaking.

Kardashian called Odom the “love of her life” in “Kardashians” Season 6 premiere, but their marriage — which lasted from 2009 to 2016 — was tumultuous.
Odom admitted to infidelity and also struggled with drug addiction.

In 2015, two years after Kardashian filed for divorce, Odom was found unresponsive after an overdose and was hospitalized on life support.

She remained by his side during his recovery before ultimately moving on.

Until their recorded conversation, Kardashian and Odom had not spoken for nine years.

While reuniting with the former Lakers player at her best friend Malika Haqq’s house, Kardashian FaceTimed her mother to show her that Odom was sitting right next to her.

“Oh my God, Lamar!” Jenner said, shocked.

“What are you doing?”

“I’m just sitting here with Koko, talking, reflecting,” he replied.

“Wow.

That’s a surprise.

I had no idea she was going to see you today,” Jenner said.

In a confessional, Kardashian explained that Odom always had a close bond with her family.

“One of the reasons that he said why he wanted to marry me so badly was when he met my family.

He said, ‘How could you not fall in love with this crazy dynamic of sisters,’ and my brother and my mom,” the “Good American” co-founder said.

“He just loved everyone, and he loved how close we were.

And somehow that was appealing to him.”

Jenner teared up in her confessional when she recalled her daughter’s reunion with Odom.

I don’t know. It makes me really emotional.

Just the ability for her to have the strength to go do that, I’m very proud of her and I’m proud of Lamar for coming because that had to be hard for him to walk in,” she said.

“I feel a lot of forgiveness for him and obviously love him, and felt bad that he had this addiction that he couldn’t control.

I was devastated for my child — that was the love of her life, and she thought that was her happily ever after, and it didn’t work out that way for them.

So it’s a lot.

It’s just a lot to wrap my head around.”

Odom reunited with Kardashian to collect some of his belongings that she had kept safe for him over the years, like his NBA Sixth Man of the Year award, which he won in 2010.

“My wife is the s–t,” he said in the premiere episode after getting back his award and more of his belongings.

However, Kardashian explained that she wasn’t fond of Odom calling her his “wife.”

“Him calling me ‘his wife’ — words are empty,” she said in a confessional.
