King Charles ‘left bruised’ after Prince Harry issued ‘snub’ statement despite ‘granting request’
King Charles was “left bruised” after Prince Harry issued a surprise ‘snub’ statement despite granting his royal request, according to a palace insider.
When the Duke of Sussex came to the UK earlier this month for a special service to honour the Invictus Games, many believed he would have a reunion with his father. The two have had a rocky bond in recent years, especially after Harry railed against his royal relatives in his memoir Spare.
But when Charles revealed he had been diagnosed with cancer in February, Harry immediately flew to London to see him – and later hinted at more meet-ups in a TV interview. However, when the Duke landed in the UK, a statement from Harry’s spokesperson confirmed he would not be meeting his father, who had a “full programme”.
