Kansas City Chiefs earn 13th victory, but Patrick Mahomes’ ankle injury puts postseason future in doubt
Last night the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Cleveland Browns and had their 13th win this season.
But amidst all the celebrations it was revealed that the NFL star of the Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes has sustained an injury in the fourth quarter as he got in between two defenders. This led to fans watching Mahomes limping and taking off from the field. This sight was extremely unsettling for both the fans of the Kansas City Chiefs as well as the team’s management as Mahomes is the star quarterback for the teams
However, there is some good news for the Chiefs’ fans because as per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Mahomes was immediately taken for X-rays and it came back showing that his right ankle was not broken. While this might be good news for the fans who were worried about how would Mahomes play the upcoming games, Mahomes’ ankle is still not in a good condition. His ankle is sore and will be back on the field as “week to week”. Now this makes the situation a little bit tricky for the Kansas City Chiefs as it was Patrick Mahomes who led the team to a Super Bowl Championship last season.
