Harry and Meghan gave almost £200,000 to Biden’s daughter to fund
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have donated £197,370 ($250,000) to Joe Biden’s daughter to fund her women’s wellness centre.
The couple’s Archewell Foundation gave the money to Ashley Biden’s Women’s Wellness (Spa)ce in Philadelphia last year, according to its latest tax return.
It was the largest grant it made to any charitable cause all year, with the commitment of the project to helping women in need was said to “resonate” with Prince Harry and Meghan.
In a video celebrating the foundation, set to theColdplay song A Sky Full of Stars, the couple are seen at events around the world, including Invictus Games events, the Parents’ Network and their visit to Columbia.
At one point, Meghan is seen addressing a group of women saying: “When you show up in community, you find that group that makes you feel like home, but often times you’ll also find yourself again.”
At the end, Prince Harry says: “Every single one of you inspire me and you inspire us every single day. So please continue to be there to support each other.”
Meanwhile, the tax filing reveals that Archewell received £4,183,892 in grants, largely comprising one £3,947,148 cash injection. The remaining income came from five individuals, none of whom are named.
