Emotional Travis Kelce gives stunning insight into NFL retirement plans and future with Taylor Swift
Travis Kelce could sail off into the sunset with Taylor Swift.
But in the minutes that followed an unbelievable finish to Super Bowl LVIII, Swift’s boyfriend publicly stated that he’s still attached to the NFL.
There had been rumors all season that Kelce could retire from football, no matter what happened in the Super Bowl.
After the Kansas City Chiefs pulled off a thrilling 25-22 overtime win over the San Francisco 49ers, Kelce stuck to his standard celebration line.
The All-Pro tight end was going to party, and party hard.
“You follow your nose, you’re going to find some fun out here,” Kelce said on ESPN in a joyous postgame interview.
He added: “It’s going to be an absolute blast. The Vegas atmosphere was electric all week. I couldn’t thank the fans, for both the Niners gang and Chiefs kingdom, enough for showing up and every NFL fan out there. You guys made this something special for me.”
Then the future Hall of Famer let the world know what he was really thinking while being interviewed live on TV.
“I’m going to go party my tail off,” Kelce said.
It was a highly emotional game for Kelce, who charged into coach Andy Reid on the sideline and later broke down in tears.
He said pregame that fans are “crazy” if they think his relationship with Swift is all for publicity.
The Chiefs trailed 10-0 late in the first half and were in serious trouble for the second consecutive Super Bowl.
