Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s son Pax Jolie-Pitt was hospitalized Monday following an accident while he was riding an electric bike in Los Angeles, a source close to Jolie confirmed.

The source added that Jolie is “by her son’s side” and that he is in “stable condition.”

Representatives for Jolie and Pitt did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

TMZ first reported that Jolie-Pitt, 20, was not wearing a helmet when he was riding his e-bike Monday afternoon.

Los Angeles Police Officer David Cuellar told NBC News on Tuesday that there was a traffic collision at Los Feliz and Hobart boulevards but would not confirm the identities of the parties involved.

“A vehicle was waiting at a red light, and an individual on an electric bike rear-ended the vehicle. There is no evidence of a crime, and we ended up taking a severe traffic report,” he said.
