STAB HORROR Children among eight stabbed in Southport knife rampage at Taylor Swift event as boy, 17, arrested
EIGHT people including children have been stabbed at a Taylor Swift-themed event.
Cops have arrested a boy, 17, after the youngsters were attacked in scenes “like a horror film” at the pop star-themed yoga and dance workshop in Southport.
Cops rushed to a property in Hart Street at around 11.50am today as chaos erupted on the road – with mums’ screams heard by horrified neighbours.
A 17-year-old boy from Banks was detained in connection to the stabbing which left a number of people injured, Merseyside Police said.
The force said that the teenager remains in police custody and will be questioned about the incident.
Officers have also confirmed the incident is not being treated as terror-related and they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the stabbing.
