Prince William is set to return to his Royal duties with an emotional trip today, Thursday, for the first time following the cancer diagnosis of his beloved wife, Princess Kate.

His return involves paying a visit to Surplus to Supper, a charity in Surrey that deals with surplus food distribution, where he will contribute in the kitchen and load the prepared meals on delivery vans. Following this, William is heading to a youth centre in West London, one of the beneficiaries of Surplus to Supper’s deliveries.

The 41-year-old prince had taken a pause from his duties, spending the past three-and-a-half weeks of the Easter holidays with his family while they processed Kate’s illness. Additionally, his father, King Charless, is also undergoing treatment for cancer, and is said to be responding well to it.

In a heartfelt video message broadcasted to the nation on March 22, Princess Kate asked for time, space, and privacy for her family as they navigated her chemotherapy treatment.

“I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family,” she said, soothingly adding: “It has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be okay.”
