Yesterday, for no apparent reason, Kim Kardashian revived her and Kanye West’s feud with Taylor Swift by ‘gramming a photo Swift would not be happy to see.

es, that’s the mannequin of Taylor’s naked body lying in bed with Kanye West in his music video for Famous, which you might recall she wasn’t exactly thrilled about.

Kim’s shade did not go unnoticed, with hundreds of Swifties – Taylor’s loyal fans- posting rat emojis in the comments (because rats eat snakes, people. Keep up.)

It appears Taylor also saw Kim’s trouble-stirring post, because she responded with some shade of her own. Taylor posted a photo of herself looking incredible in her new Vogue UK photoshoot with a line from her song I Did Something Bad, which is widely believed to be about her feud with Kanye

The great Kimye vs Taylor feud of 2016 will never, ever, end.

It’s not the only time Taylor takes aim at Kim and Kanye in Reputation lyrics.

The most obvious is the part of This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things, where she sings:

“It was so nice being friends again / There I was giving you a second chance / But you stabbed me in the back while shaking my hand / And therein lies the issue / Friends don’t try to trick you / Get you on the phone and mind-twist you / And so I took an axe to a mended fence”.

Take a look back at the drama between Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian through the years

Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian have endured many ups and downs through the years.

Following Swift and Kanye West’s long history, West’s then-wife Kardashian became part of the narrative in 2015 as Swift publicly reconciled (and then unreconciled) with West.

The drama reached its peak in 2016 as West released “Famous” off his The Life of Pablo album (which made jabs at the “Style” singer) and Kardashian claimed that Swift knew of West’s plans to release the track as she infamously leaked an edited phone call between West and Swift discussing the song before its release. The Internet immediately seemed to side with the reality star, and #KimExposedTaylorParty started trending.

The following year, Swift responded to the drama with her sixth studio album Reputation, which was dominated by snake imagery as she reclaimed the snake emoji posted in her Instagram comments section at the time.

As Swift prepares to release the re-recorded version of Reputation, the “Bad Blood” singer recently reflected on the feud with TIME as she was named the publication’s 2023 Person of the Year, noting that the public’s reaction felt like “a career death” and “took [her] down psychologically to a place [she’d] never been before.”

Ahead, take a look back at Swift and Kardashian’s relationship through the years, including what they’ve said about the drama.
2009: Kim Kardashian says she “loves” Taylor Swift

Back in 2009, Kardashian spoke with Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet, where they asked her what the No. 1 song her iPod was. She giddily replied that it was “Love Story” by Swift, before adding, “I love Taylor Swift! I’m the biggest Taylor Swift fan.”

She added that she was following her on Twitter, before adding, “I’m watching you, Taylor!”
