I Definitely Like Them All O'Neal Admire The NCAA And LSU Woman

NCAA women’s basketball players are so good these days that even an NBA legend like Shaquille O’Neal shuns the men’s tournament to tune in. During The Big Podcast with Shaq, the Hall of Famer shared her admiration for players like JuJu Watkins, Angel Reese, and Caitlin Clark, the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer in basketball for both men and women. These exceptional athletes are raising the standards of women’s college basketball and capturing the attention of mainstream basketball enthusiasts

Although Shaq is well known for his role in the award-winning show “Inside the NBA” with Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson, where he often shares his hot takes and humor, he made it clear that he is a huge fan of women’s basketball. O’Neal even admitted to following NCAA women’s basketball more than the men’s

“Well, the boys suck, so I’m not following them,” Shaq said, referring to LSU’s men’s basketball, which didn’t qualify for the 2024 NCAA Tournament. “But I’m definitely following the girls. Actually, women’s basketball is kicking.”

NCAA women’s basketball is sizzling right now. And with the Final Four set for this weekend, viewership is expected to go through the roof again, especially after the Elite Eight game between Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes and Reese’s LSU Tigers, which drew a whopping 12.3 million viewers, the most in women’s college basketball history. That mark bested the previous record of 9.9 million viewers from last season’s NCAA finals, which also involved Iowa and LSU.
