Taylor Swift has urged her fans and followers on social media to vote in the polls ahead of Super Tuesday.

The 34-year-old hitmaker has taken to her Instagram page, which boasts of having more than 282 million followers, to urge people to “make a plan” to vote. The singer didn’t disclose what political stance she is taking, which has disappointed some fan

Taylor, who backed President Joe Biden in 2020, took to Instagram to pen a lengthy post about voting. She wrote: “Today, March 5, is the Presidential Primary in Tennessee and 16 other states and territories.
“I want to remind you guys to vote the people who most represent YOU into power. If you haven’t already, make a plan to vote today.” She added: “Whether you’re in Tennessee or somewhere else in the US, check your polling places and times at vote.org.”

Fans have praised Taylor for her reminder, with some not impressed by the lack of hint as to who she is backing in November’s election. Taking to Twitter, which is now known as X, to react to Taylor’s statement, one fanpage for the singer wasn’t happy. “Taylor, this is so disappointing. you promised you were going to stand up for marginalized people and fight with us for our rights. By not taking a stance, you are going back on that promise. Voting is important, but WHO and WHAT you vote for is more important @taylorswift13,” they penned.

Another didn’t agree with the fans who aren’t happy with the singer, and said: “Taylor told yall to vote for who best represents you and ur values and y’all still find a way to be upset at that. why does she have to hold ur hand and tell you who to vote for when you should be doing ur own research.”
