Ayesha Curry Says Her Relationship with Husband Steph Curry ‘Always’ Come Before Being Parents (Exclusive)……see more

For the Currys, being great parents means prioritizing their own relationship.
At a recent Sweet July pop-up in San Francisco, Calif., Ayesha Curry, 35, spoke with PEOPLE and shared how she and her NBA superstar husband Stephen Curry, 36, balance their work with being parents to four kids — Riley, 12, Ryan, 9, Canon, 6, and son Caius, whom she welcomed in May.
“I think for us, our relationship always comes first.
Then we’re parents,” Ayesha explains.
“And that works for us because then you have two happy people raising the kids in the house.
So the family sector in our lives always comes first.”
“And then honestly, it’s just surrounding ourselves with people that are smarter than us and know what they’re doing and can make the things run,” she continues.
“And they allow us the space to be creative and they allow us the space to truly show up however we choose to. And I think that’s what’s really worked for us.”
“We’re not control freaks,” she adds, saying, “We have ideas, but we’re willing to let people help us see those ideas into fruition.”
The Sweet July founder and her professional athlete husband welcomed their fourth baby together in May, son Caius Chai, whom Ayesha says is now doing “so good.”
“He’s 9 months now.
He’s crawling and laughing.
He only says dad,” Ayesha shares.
“The older kids, they’re amazing.
We were worried about having the six-year gap between our son and Cai Cai, and it’s been magical.
He truly feels like a big brother.
He only wants to protect him. T
here’s no jealousy.
I love it.”
“The girls are like little moms.
It’s the best decision we’ve ever made, honestly,” adds the mom of four.
